Description
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), through the ADP Acquisitions Branch, Program Support Center (PSC), intends to award a (5) month sole source simplified acquisition to The University of Illinois at Chicago, Chicago, Il. 60612 . The purpose of this simplified acquisition is to develop a toolbox containing information from Translating Research Into Practice (TRIP) II projects on CD-ROM that can serve as a prototype to demonstrate the potential uses of a web-based toolbox. The primary objective of the toolbox is to help disseminate tools for implementation so that other individuals and organizations can adapt methods and instruments for their own implementation efforts rather than reinventing material. A tool may include but is not limited to: a protocol, pathway, data collection form, medical record form, software application, on-line web application, patient education information, physician/nurse information, survey or questionnaire, or clinical scale/algorithm. A secondary objective is to provide access to information on the methods, barriers and theories related to the implementation studies. This proposed requirement for which the Government intends to solicit only one source is under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested concerns may identify their interest and submit a capability statement in a written narrative format detailing the concern's ability to meet the objectives of this requirement. Capability statement may be sent via fax to (301)443-8488. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available; therefore, requests for such document will be considered invalid responses. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days from the date of this synopsis, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the award to The University of Illinois at Chicago.
