Description

The work consists of (1) removing and replacing existing concrete in the spillway tunnel, (2) grinding calcium deposits from spillway tunnel walls, (3) furnishing and installing access platforms and stairs at the spillway outlet portal, (4) furnishing and installing spring containment structure and drain to reservoir, and (5) diverting existing right inlet wall drain to the reservoir. This is a negotiated competitive, firm fixed price requirement. Technicial and cost proposals will be required. Technicial factors to be evaluated will be the offeror's experience in similar work, company experience, personnel experience, schedule and safety. The estimated price range of the work is $1,000,0001 to $5,000,000. The work to be performed is situated at Kortes Dam approximately 66 miles southwest of Casper, Wyoming in Carbon County. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available on or around August 29, 2002. Requests for solicitations should be received on or before September 9, 2002. Proposals are tentatively schedule to be received by September 30, 2002, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, Federal Building, Room 2031, Billings, Montana. The Contact completion date is March 12, 2004. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After the issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the following offices of the Bureau of Reclamation: Wyoming Area Office, 2 miles west of Casper and 3 blocks south of Highways 20 & 26, Mills, Wyoming or Great Plains Regional Office, Billings, Montana. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. For this acquisition, the small business size standard is $28.5 million and the standard industrial classification code is 1629.
