Description

The Naval Air Systems Command is planning to place an order with Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGC) for an engineering investigation to address transition and integration of the Improved Capability (ICAP) III upgrade and other electronic attack requirements from the EA-6B aircraft to an alternate tactical and carrier capable platform currently in production. The Government intends to negotiate solely with Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC), Bethpage, NY pursuant to Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source. The work to be performed requires the application of technical knowledge, expertise, and detailed familiarity with the design, specification, and fabrication of the ICAP III upgrade. As such, NGC is the only source with the unique engineering expertise and in-depth knowledge to fulfill the government's requirement. This synopsis is for informational purposes only.
