Description

INSTALL UNDERGROUND CONDUIT FOR COMMUNICATION CABLES FOR LOWER T HOUSING AREA AT LAJES FIELD, AZORES, PORTUGAL. This project includes but is not limited to trenching, and installation of concrete encased PVC conduit, and installation of manholes and hand holes as indicated on project drawings. The performance period for the project will be identified in the Statement of Work. The magnitude of this project is between 25,000 and 100,000 dollars. North American Industry Classification System assigned to this acquisition is 234990. This requirement is RESTRICTED to Mainland Portugal and its territories in accordance with the Bilateral Agreement between Portugal and the United States dated 1995. All responsible sources meeting the criteria set forth in the Request for Quote (RFQ) may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Government. The request for Quote (RFQ) package will be available for downloading and viewing at Electronic Posting System (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov on or about 30 Aug 02. A pre-proposal conference and a site visit will not be conducted for this project. The RFQ package will be available on the Internet only. There will be no hard copies of this solicitation issued. The solicitation, plans, specifications, or drawings will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government?s best interest. All proposals and other normal documents required for the proposal submittal, including amendments to the proposal submittal, shall be in paper medium. T-615, Room 201, Lajes Field, Azores Portugal 09720-7775, or e-mail to: Elizabeth.hilton@lajes.af.mil. All contractors interested in receiving notification of updates/amendments to the solicitation posted on the EPS are urged to enroll on the web site mailing list for this acquisition. Those contractors enrolled will be notified automatically of any changes made to the RFQ through their e-mail addresses. No telephone requests will be accepted.
