Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR SubPart 12.6. The 319th Contracting Squadron at Grand Forks AFB, ND intends to award a purchase order for a portable vacuum pad fall protection system to be used for aircraft, to consist of (2) Vacuum Pad Systems with four pads, (8) Rope Grabs, (4) 10 Foot Positioning Rope Lanyards, and (8) 3 foot positioning, shock absorbing lanyards. Quote needs to include above equipment, delivery FOB destination Grand Forks AFB, ND, and anticipated delivery time/date. Offeror must provide warranty information on equipment. The fall protection system will be used as fall arrest for people working on aircraft. This system shall protect someone, in case they fall, to stop him or her from hitting the ground. For convenience, the system required will be a portable vacuum pad system. This acquisition will be accomplished in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and will be based on competitive quotes. This acquisition is unrestricted. For small business use if applicable, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336413; size standard of 1,000 employees. The following provisions and clauses can be viewed through Internet access at the Air Force FAR Site. Web address is http://farsite.hill.af.mil. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial, 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Offerors must include with their quotation a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial items (April 2002) and DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certification, Commercial Items (Nov 1995). In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contract Registration (Nov 2001), prior to receiving any contract award, contractors must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contractors can obtain further information on the CCR database at the web site http://www.ccr.gov. FUNDS ARE NOT PRESENTLY AVAILABLE FOR THIS REQUEST FOR QUOTE. THE GOVERNMENT MAY CANCEL THIS RFQ AT ANY TIME IF FUNDS DO NOT BECOME AVAILABLE. IF FUNDS DO BECOME AVAILABLE, THE GOVERNMENT WILL ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER TO THE VENDOR WHO SUPPLIES THE SUCCESSFUL QUOTE. VENDORS OFFER MUST BE GOOD THROUGH 30 SEP 02. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written (paper/hard copy) solicitation will not be issued.
