Description
The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gain knowledge of qualified and interested 8(a) sources in all SBA regions with experience relative to NAICS Code 233320 (size standard $27.5 million average annual receipts for preceding three fiscal years). This acquisition will be a competitive 8(a) set aside, and is anticipated it would be open to firms located in all SBA regions. We are requesting all interested and qualified firms respond to this sources sought notice with the following information: (1) name, address, phone, fax, e-mail and website if applicable; (2) a list (not to exceed 5) of SABER or similar contracts (JOC, IDIQ, etc) your firm currently holds or has completed within the last three years; and (3) your bonding capacity per contract/action. The list of relevant contracts should include the location, contract number, description, estimated yearly value, performance dates, and Government point(s) of contact (contracting officer and QAE/inspector) with phone and fax numbers. Please limit your responses to 5 pages. This information must be faxed to (301) 981-1270 to the attention of Jehovah Kearse, Contract Specialist, by 9 Sep 02. This contract will be a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity type contract and will include a wide variety of individual construction tasks. Performance period is one year for the basic plus four one-year option periods. The guaranteed minimum contract amount is $300,000 for the basic period, with a maximum, but not guaranteed, amount of $10,000,000 per year. Work for this contract will include, but is not limited to, a broad range of maintenance, repair and minor construction at Andrews AFB and its remote sites in Maryland and the Washington DC metropolitan area. The work is required in support of the 89th Civil Engineering Squadron. During the contract period, construction tasks will be identified to the contractor who then must furnish all materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to design, manage and accomplish the job. The contractor shall be required to maintain a management office at Andrews AFB, MD in order to receive work requests and to provide other management services related to accomplishing individual jobs. Individual jobs will vary in size ranging from $2000 to $500,000. The estimated numbed of delivery orders per year will range between 30 and 60. The jobs will include tasks in a variety of trades such as carpentry, roofing, excavation, interior and exterior electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, demolition and concrete masonry. The solicitation will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage on or about 10 Oct 2002. The solicitation package and any amendments will only be available electronically. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Once the solicitation is posted, it is imperative that interested parties review the website for updates/amendments. The closing date for submission of offers will be contained within the solicitation package. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database prior to award of the government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. This sources sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for contract award. When the solicitation is issued, it will be announced on the FedBizOpps website and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation separately from the response to this sources sought notice.
