Description

The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue an Invitation for Bids for a firm fixed-price construction contract for Lake Tahoe Dam Rehabilitation. The work is located at Lake Tahoe Dam near Tahoe City on the western shore of Lake Tahoe in Placer County, California. The NAICS Code is: 234990. Award of a contract will be made in accordance with HUBZone Price Evaluation Preference procedures as described in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.1307. FAR Clause 52.219-4, Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for HUBZone contractors are listed on the Small Business Administration's List of Qualified Small Business Concerns at website http://www.sba.gov/hubzone. This magnitude of this construction project is estimated between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The principal components of the work to be performed include the following: 1) replacement of existing shake roof, 2) replacement of existing wooden shutters with new glass windows and new metal rolling counter doors, 3) replacement of wooden entrance doors with new insulated hollow-core steel doors, 4) furnishing and installing 17 rack extensions, 5) designing, fabricating, and installing one gate operator gear shield. For further information concerning all the principal components of the work, please see the solicitation. Solicitation 02SI202031 will be posted at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about August 12, 2002. The estimated date for receipt of bids is September 23, 2002. Furthermore, the estimated date for the site visit is scheduled for September 6, 2002. Details concerning the site visit and how to register will be in Section L of the solicitation. The solicitation and specifications must be downloaded at the above site, with the drawings being mailed to you by hardcopy. No paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed with the exception of the drawings.
