- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue an Invitation for Bids for a firm fixed-price construction contract for the modification of three cranes at Folsom Dam, Folsom Pumping Plant, and Nimbus Power Plant, of the Folsom Unit, American River Division, Central Valley Project, California. The work is situated at the following two locations: a. Folsom Dam and Folsom Pumping Plant, approximately 2 miles north of Folsom, California, in Sacramento County. b. Nimbus Power Plant, approximately 5 miles southwest of Folsom, California, in Sacramento County. The NAICS Code is: 234990. Award of a contract will be made in accordance with HUBZone Price Evaluation Preference procedures as described in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.1307. FAR Clause 52.219-4, Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for HUBZone contractors are listed on the Small Business Administration's List of Qualified Small Business Concerns at website http://www.sba.gov/hubzone. The magnitude of this construction project is estimated between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The principal components of the work to be performed include the following: 1) Furnish and install new variable frequency drives and radio controls, 2) Furnish and install new landing for the existing access ladder to the crane and new working platform with guardrails on the existing crane, 3) Furnish and install new pickup bars for bridge travel, 4) Furnish and install festoon system for trolley, 5) Modify existing 140-ton fixed hoist and convert to 140-ton hoist trolley. For further information concerning all the principal components of the work, please see the solicitation. Solicitation 02SI202042 will be posted at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about August 12, 2002. The estimated date for receipt of bids is September 23, 2002. Furthermore, the estimated date for the site visit is scheduled for August 28, 2002. Details concerning the site visit and how to register will be in Section L of the solicitation. The solicitation and specifications must be downloaded at the above site, with the drawings being mailed to you by hardcopy. No paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed with the exception of the drawings.
