Description

The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting quotations from construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Prospective bidders desiring to conduct business wtih DOI are requested to register at the NBC website. Quotation documents will be made available in Microsoft Word, HTML, and Adobe PDF; specifications will be available in Adobe PDF format; and drawings will be available in PDF format. Bidders wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at the NBC website shown above. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately reponsible for reviewing the NBC website for all information relevant to this solicitation. Planholders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the Request for Quotation documents. No other notifications will be sent. Proposed Issue Date: August 26, 2002. Title of Project: Replace Doors at Theaters 1 and 2, USS Arizona Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii. New doors to be Kawneer Flushline Entrance Series, or approved equal. Project work can only be done one theater at a time. Work on second theater may not begin until the first theater is completed. Schedule dates and times for the work require preapproval from the Memorial superintendent. Completion time: thirty calendar days following the Notice to Proceed. Estimated construction range: Between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS Code 235510, $12.0 million average annual receipts for the past three years. A pre-bid conference will be conducted and is tentatively scheduled for September 4, 2002. This solicitation is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is subject to full and open competition. Award of a single negotiated firm-fixed price contract will be made to the Contractor offering the best value to the Government.
