Description

The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting quotations from construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Prospective bidders desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the NBC website. Quotation documents will be made available in Microsoft Word,HTML, and Adobe PDF; specifications will be available in Adobe PDF format; and drawings will be available in PDF format. Bidders wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at the NBC website shown above. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the NBC website for all information relevent to this solicitation. Planholders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the Request for Quotation documents. No other notifications will be sent. Proposed Issue Date: August 26, 2002. Title of Project: Concrete Repairs, USS Arizona Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii. This work consists of demolition, patching and repairing concrete on the exterior walls, parapets and structural floor slabs in basement of the USS Arizona Memorial Shoreside Visitor Center, Naval Station Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Completion time: sixty calendar days. Estimated construction range: Between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS Code 235710, $12.0 million average annual receipts for the past three years. A pre-bid conference will be conducted and is tentatively scheduled for September 10, 2002. This solicitation is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is subject to full and open competition. Award of a single negotiated firm-fixed price purchase order will be made to the Contractor offering the best value to the Government.
