Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA intends to acquire janitorial services for the National Weather Service Office located in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. These services will be required for a base period of twelve months effective 10/01/2002 through 09/30/2003, with the option to renew on a yearly basis for an additional two years. The contractor shall be responsible for managing and performing cleaning services at the NWS office 6 days a week, Sunday through Friday with Saturday off. All equipment, materials, supplies and supervision shall be supplied by the contractor unless otherwise specified. Duties include but are not limited to: (1). Daily cleaning of sweeping or vacuuming all uncarpeted floors including hallways using chemically treated absorbents; vacuuming all carpeted areas; empty waste baskets throughout the building; thoroughly clean restrooms; clean water fountain; spot clean entrance doors and windows. (2). Weekly cleaning of wet mopping all uncarpeted floors throughout building; wash glass entrance doors inside and out; wash/clean all office furniture; sweep and wet mop floor of outside building office.(3) Monthly cleaning of all interior glass and exterior glass; clean all ceiling vents and mini-blinds. (4) Quarterly cleaning of walls, doors and window ledges; shampoo and vacuum carpet; vacuum/wash chairs. (5) Semi-annual cleaning of washing outside of all exterior windows; shampoo and vacuum carpeted floors; strip and wax restroom floors. (6) Annual cleaning of stripping and waxing floors of specified offices. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. All interested parties capable of performing these services may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ). All requests must be in writing and sent to the attention of Jackie Shewmaker. Facsimile requests will be accepted at (816) 426-7530. An RFQ will be available on or about August 21, 2002. This acquisition will be issued under the guidelines of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Regulations.
