Description: CCD readout camera for BN Four Frame camera system. Basic functional requirements: CCD sensor format, square format, >=2048 x 2048 pixels, 15 micron to 24 micron square pixels. (the sensor we chose is 4096, 9 micron pixels, we will use the pixels binned 2 x 2 for 2048, 18 micron pixels). Fiber optic faceplate on CCD chip/camera. Camera suitable (rugged enough) for direct mechanical coupling to image tube. Fit in existing mounting hardware. Image digitized to 16 bits. Fiber optic communication link from camera to computer. Additional features affecting selection:CCD sensitivity. Camera read noise. Software package. Camera package. Cooling options.
