Description
The U. S. Coast Guard intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm-fixed price, sole-source procurement using Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13.5 to RAYTHEON, 847 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871-1087. The NAIC Code is 334511 meeting Small Business Size Standard of 750 employees. The contractor shall provide Radar Scan Card Part #1721817-100 (10 ea.), Radar Data Cards Part #1721818-100 (10 ea.), and Radar Control Cards Part #1720575-101 (10 ea.) for a pre-existing RAYTHEON AN/SPS-73 RADAR support kit. The AN/SPS-73 RADAR support kit is used to provide spare parts for the Radar System. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Written responses, providing sufficient data to determine capability to meet the requirement, must be received by this office within seven (7) calendar days, with sufficient information to determine that another responsible source is available, or negotiations will be conducted with RAYTHEON. The solicitation will be issued on or about 19 August 2002, and closing on or before 03 September 2002. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receiving financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.00.
