- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to procure 50-ton (minimum) Water Chillers, and related drawings, engineering data, technical data, as outlined below, to replace obsolete equipment currently installed onboard the 270? WMEC and 378? WHEC Class Coast Guard vessels. The Water Chiller Units shall be placed in the ELC Stock System until such time of installation onboard the recognized cutters. The Water Chiller Units shall be manufactured in accordance with Coast Guard specifications. Acceptable units that meet the Coast Guard?s requirements are Carrier Transicold Model 90RMC-050 and York Marine Refrigeration Model YSM050TRMC. Competitive quotations are being sought on a Brand-Name-or-Equal basis. Specific performance and technical requirements are contained in the Request For Quotation (RFQ) Package. The items and quantities to be procured under this acquisition include: (1) Water Chiller Units, 50-ton minimum, quantity 3 each; (2) Provisioning Technical Documentation, quantity 1 each; (3) Depot Level Spare Parts and Optional Spares Lists, quantity 1 each; (4) Six month Spare Parts Kit, quantity 3 each; (5) Customer Support on an ?as needed? basis; (6) Operating and Maintenance Manuals, quantity 10 each; (7) Electronic Format of Operating and Maintenance Manuals, quantity 1 each; (8) Unit Assembly and Subassembly Drawings, quantity 1 each; and (9) One-year warranty from the date of actual installation. All drawings and manuals will require submissions for approval as well as approved copies. FAR Clauses 52.227-14, Rights In Data - General (Jun 1987) and FAR 52.227-23, Rights to Proposal Data (Technical)(June 1987), shall be incorporated into the RFQ and resultant award. All engineering, technical and maintenance manuals and drawings shall be submitted without any proprietary or distribution restrictions. The Coast Guard intends to acquire rights to distribute drawings and manuals to other Coast Guard districts as well as be able to release for any possible future procurements. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination to U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the Agency. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 332321 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This is an unrestricted procurement. The Request For Quotation Package, Number DTCG40-02-Q-50166 shall be available for download from FedBizOpps at www.eps.gov, on or about 12 August 2002. Quotations shall be required no later than 2 September 2002.
