- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information include in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F22600-02-T-1376 and is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2001-07 and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement Change Notice 20020531 This acquisition is unrestricted all responsible sources may submit a proposal or quotation which shall be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 332992. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on the following: DESCRIPTION 1 Each Portable Explosion Containment Vessel. Explosive containment vessel for storing up to a minimum of 10kg (22 lbs)(TNT charges) or equivalent. General specifications: Clear opening hinged door. Effective minimum storage space: 1.2 cubic meters. Protective criteria: Must safely store up to 10kg (22 lbs) TNT or equivalent, state weight, size, height, and diameter of container with quote. Security: Two (2) levels of Intruder Detection System requirements (IDS). Container must be Approved by the US Department of Defense Explosive Safety Board. Must fully confine all explosion effects from the internal detonation of explosives or explosive devices. Container must be able to safely house hazardous materials, explosives, light ammunition or placing of large suspect objects. Outside of container must be secured w/a key-operated high security padlock, P/N# MIL-P-43607G & Hasp P/N# MIL-H-29181B. Re-use of container will be considered in providing best value for the government. All specifications must be met or exceeded. Include all shipping instructions with your proposal.
