- The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, services, and supervision necessary for: PROJECT# NUEX 02-1301-6, ABATE LEAD BASED EXTERIOR PAINT AND PAINT EXTERIOR OF FACILITY. Description: A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated. This requirement contains a base bid only. Scope of work consists of all exterior surfaces to include and not limited to: walls, footings, doors, roof, lettering, conduits, power panels, piping, flashing, gutters, downspouts, canopy complete, ridge vents, swamp coolers and framing, HVAC and duct work. All existing painted surfaces shall be painted as a complete package. The total square footage is 142,000. Lead paint is present on 1,400 square feet of CMU, 10,000 square feet of metal doors and frames, and 15,100 square feet of metal surfaces for a total of 26,500 square feet. FUNDS ARE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS SOLICITATION. Award of a contract as a result of this solicitation is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment of this contract may be made. There shall be no legal liability on the part of the Government for contract purposes until funds are made available to the contracting officer. The contracting officer will confirm availability of funds in writing to the contractor upon award of contract. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal (RFP). Award will be made to the low-priced qualifying HUBZone contractor. To be considered a qualified HUBZone contractor, the firm must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). This project has a 30-day performance period. Magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation and accompanying attachments will be available for viewing and down loading on or about 27 Aug 02 with a closing date of 30 calendar days from date actual issuance. SIC: 1721, 1799; NAICS: 235210, 562910; S/B Size Std: 12.0. Interested offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov in order to receive any resulting contract award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from DUN and Bradstreet. Registration may take up to three weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. The complete package will be made available only through the Internet at address http://www.eps.gov. The solicitation can be accessed by following the links on the EPS website to: USAF Offices, Air Education and Training Command, Luke AFB Contracting. Anyone wishing to participate on this proposed procurement must obtain a copy from the Internet. Copies will not be mailed out of this office. All amendments will be posted on the Internet.
