Description

The USAF will issue an RFP for the Repair/Overhaul of the 1-2 Spacers. Solicitation will be issued electronically through the FEDBIZOPS website. NSN: (output) 2840-01-469-0935NZ; P/N: 4086315, Predominant material: Nickel Alloy; Size/Dimensions: 24 inches round X 4 inches wide. This item keeps the second stage blades in place for the F100-229 engine of the F15/16 fighter aircraft. Delivery: Tinker AFB, OK or as specified in each individual order. Anticipated solicitation issue date: 29AUG02. Anticipated award date: 31DEC02. Total estimated contract value, including Options: $226,866.00. A firm-fixed price, Requirements contract with a one-year basic and 4 one-year option ordering periods is anticipated. Estimated quantities: Basic Year: 7 each, Option 1: 10 each, Option 2: 8 each, Option 3: 2 each, Option 4: 1 each. Contractor is to provide all labor, parts, services, and testing to accomplish overhaul and repair. Repair to be done IAW Statement of Work, applicable T.O.s and other appendices. No telephone solicitation requests will be accepted. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved and qualified IAW with the Qualification Requirements. Information regarding how to become an approved source will be available in the solicitation. TO: Pratt and Whitney East Hartford. Authority: 10 USC 2304(c)(1). Note D, the requirements of FAR 9.202(a) have completed and copies of the qualification requirements and standards may be obtained as described in the solicitation. NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition.The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program manager or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
