Description
NA THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT synopsis seeking potential 8(a) certified firms in SBA Region IV (GA, AL, MS, FL, SC, NC, TN, and KY) that have an interest in submitting, as a prime contractor in an 8(a) competition, an offer to perform construction of FORCE PROTECTION (Fencing/Perimeter Road/Exterior Lighting/Gates/Barriers). This will be an IDIQ solicitation with multiple schedules for three separate awards. Responses to this notice must be faxed to Colleen O?Keefe, U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, fax number (912) 652-5828. Responses must be received no later than August 29, 2002. Telephone and/or e-mail responses will not be accepted. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: (1) Ft. Benning, GA - Construct a phy sical security perimeter barrier around three of the installation's four cantonment areas. Construction includes chain link fence with three strands of barbed wire; personnel gates; vehicle access gates; drum/wedge road barricades; bollards; perimeter r oad for fence inspection. Supporting facilities could include site improvements, landscaping, concrete aprons, road striping, signage, electrical distribution, and security lighting. The estimated cost range is $3,000,000 - $10,000,000. (2) Ft. Jackso n, SC - Construct an enhanced, physical security, chain-linked perimeter fencing barrier around the main building cantonment area. Project includes electric gates, electronic monitoring devices, traffic and personnel access control, and monitoring device s, gates and perimeter fence lighting, perimeter fencing inspection access roads and other site improvements. The estimated cost range is $3,000,000 to $5,000,000. (3) Ft. Bragg, NC - Construct a physical security chain link and limited wrought iron can tonment perimeter fence. Includes chain link fencing with barbed wire top guard, limited wrought iron fencing, and patrol road inside the fence line. Supporting facilities include electrical distribution, security lighting, storm drainage, ditches, berms , landscaping and other site improvements. The estimated cost range is $3,000,000 - $10,000,000.
