- This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-45. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 337215 and the business size standard is 500 employees. Fleet Contracting Center, Mayport Fl intends to purchase on a full and open competitive basis shipboard habitability renovation of the refurbishment of learning resource center on board the USS Boone FFG-28 Naval Station Mayport Fl 32228. Work to begin August 2002 and work with ship's point of contact for available in port dates. Ship's point of contact is SKC Nicholson, 904-270-5829 or 5030. This requirement is for a fixed priced contract for line items as follows. 1. Furnishing removal. 1. Removal of old furnishings in present LRC, approximately 14 linear feet, to facilitate removal of old and installation of new bulkhead. 2. Removal of old furnishing in area to be SH/MS office, to include 24" x 96" foundation, to facilitate installation of new aft bulkhead for LRC. 3. Remove existing work centers and furnishing. 1. Three each work centers, One each conference table. 2. Bulkhead renovations needed to provide new LRC and SH/MS offices. 1. Removal of the following honeycomb bulkheads. Approximately 14 linear feet of present LRC. 2. Provide materials and labor to install the following honeycomb bulkhead to include new 6" H steel baseboard welded to deck. 1. Approximately 10 linear feet to enclose C/C office to form LRC forward bulkhead. 2. Approximately 17 linear feet to enclose SH/MS office, this will provide LRC aft bulkhead. 3. Approximately 22 linear feet to facilitate starboard bulkhead and enclose remaining LRC area. 3. Provide the following "MJD" (metal joiner door) for space access. 1. One each for access to SH/MS office. Core type "H" left hung. 2. One each for access forward to LRC. Core type "H" right hung. 3. Modify meeting area to become new LRC. 1. Bulkheads. Provide and install new fabric backed vinyl wall cover, approximately 66 linear feet. Where unable to wall cover, trim paint to match. 2. Manufacture and install the following furnishing. 1. Entertainment/audio visual center to accommodate 25" TV and DVD/VHS player. a. To include locking pocket doors in upper section. b. Two shelves and locking hinged doors in lower section. 2. Insert cabinets along new starboard bulkhead. a. One each 28" x 96" with sliding doors for boot storage. b. One each 28" x 96" with shelf and sliding doors for book storage. 3. One each three station study carol consisting of: a. 2- 28" x 72" x 1" end partitions. b. 1- 28" x 88.5" counter. c. 2- 27" x 42" x 1" dividers. d. 1- 42" x 88.5" back panel. e. 1- 25" x 88.5" modesty panel. f. 6- 17" x 28.75" shelves. g. 3- pull out computer keyboard trays. h. Workstations, built to allow for chairs to be placed stowed under when not in use. 4. One each two station study carol consisting of : a. 2- 28" x 72" x 1" end panels. b. 1- 28" x 51" counter. c. 1- 27" x 42" x 1" divider. d. 1- 42" x 51" back panel. e. 1- 25" x 51" modesty panel. f. 4- 17" x 24.9" shelves. g. 2- pull out computer keyboard trays. h. Workstations to built to allow for chairs to be placed under when not in use. 5. One each single station study carol consisting of : a. 2- 28" x 72" x 1" end panels. b. 1- 28" x 40" counter. c. 1- 42" x 40" back panel. d. 1- 25" x 40" modesty panel. e. 2- 17" x 40" shelves. f. 1- pull out computer keyboard trays. g. Workstations to built to allow for chairs to be placed under when not in use. 6. PACE/Conference table to consist of: a. 1 ea.- 51" x 133"counter with cutouts for computer view-ports b. 6-ea. modular computer view port systems. c. 2- 28.875" x 49" x 1" end panels d. 4- 23.75" x 28.875" x 1" dividers. e. 2- 28.875" x 61.25" x 1" modesty panels. f. 6- 11"w x 24"h x 20"d suspended CPU boxes. g. 1- power pole to extend into the overhead to facilitate wiring by ship's force. h. Workstations to built to allow for chairs to be placed under when not in use. 7. DC helmet storage cabinet. 24"w x 79"h x 24"d. to include shelf installed at top of unit with 18" of clearance to accommodate storage of LAN switch boxes. 3. Deck repair. 1. Repair deck where disturbed by performance of bulkhead. installation. Total of all items, installations to be completed in 30 day availability window,commencing 23 August. All materials procured/installed shall be in accordance with military specification MIL-STD-1623 fire performance requirements and specifications for interior finish materials and furnishings (Naval Shipboard use) and adhere to all applicable specifications set forth in NAVSEA habitability materials list, revision k dated may of 1996. Specifications and Statement of Work to be supplied upon request. The following provisions and clauses apply: Provision 52.252-1 Solicitation Provisions Incorporated by Reference. The Government intends to make a single award to the eligible, responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation, and is the most advantageous to the Government considering price and price-related factors.
