- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) requests quotations for the below listed items. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS (INCLUDING PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS) FOR SUBMITTING A QUOTATION MUST BE DOWNLOADED FROM THE FEDBIZOPS WEBSITE UNDER RFQ-56-00249. Price quotation is requested for the following items: Item 001 Plate Punch-Bending Machine, includes X-Y Table, Delivery, Government acceptance test, and Installation, Quantity 1 each; Item 002 Training of Maintenance Employees, Quantity 4 each; Item 003- Training of Operation Employees, Quantity 4 each; Item 0004 Site preparation and architectural information, 1 lot; Item 005 Technical Data, Quantity 1 lot, consisting of as built drawings, manuals, backup software, and lists of spare parts required (lists only see item 0006 for priced spares); Item 006 Spares needed for 1st year of operation, 1 set; Item 007 Spare punch, 1 each., and Item 0008 all special tools required for the installation, support, maintenance or operation of the equipment. The Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13 are being used for this procurement. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This notice and the attached documents issued on the FedBizOpps website constitutes the only solicitation; a written request for quotation will not be issued. The resulting purchase order will be firm-fixed price. The basis for award will be to the responsible quoter lowest in price with favorable past performance whose quotation is evaluated as both technically acceptable and realistic in price. All interested parts are requested to submit a written quotation which will be considered by the agency. THE FOLLOWING APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS FOR SUBMITTING A QUOTATION MUST BE DOWNLOADED FROM THE FEDBIZOPS WEBSITE. BEP Specification, Standard Form 1449, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clause 52.212-3, and FAR clause 52.212-5. A signed SF 1449 and FAR clause 52.2125-5 must be completed and returned with your quotation, along with technical literature supporting the technical adequacy of your quotation. In order to comply with the requirements of FAR Part 15, quoters shall also supply at least two, preferably three, past performance references of customers to whom you have delivered product within the last 18 months, consisting of name, office or organization, telephone number and fax number. Past performance will be evaluated by the Government upon telephone contact with your reference as being favorable, unfavorable, or neutral. Quotations are due no later than by close of business on September 9, 2002. Only written, faxed, or e-mail responses will be honored.
