Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst requires a limited production of one hundred and ten (110) Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Holding Arm Assemblies for the Multi-Purpose Stroke/Raster Display (MPSRD) and the High Power Device Tester (HPDTS) Display in support of the Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) stations. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate a firm-fixed priced contract on a sole source basis with Ergonomic Concepts, Inc., Alloway, NJ. Ergonomic Concepts, Inc.'s Holding Arm is the only known COTS Holding Arm that meets the physical size and technical functional requirements for integration with the CASS stations with no electrical or mechanical modifications needed and is compatible with both the MPSRD and HPDT display requirements. The Holding Arm is to be mounted to the CASS station on one end and the other end is to interface with the top of the MPSRD. The holding arm will isolate the effects of carrier vibration and shock from the MPSRD for which it was designed. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation package will be available. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (31-MAY-2002). IT ACTUALLY FIRST APPEARED ON THE FEDBIZOPPS SYSTEM ON 12-AUG-2002. PLEASE CONTACT fbo.support@gsa.gov REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
