Description

This is a sources sought announcement only. There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The NAICS code is 511210 with a SBA size standard of $21 Million. Interested parties need to identify if they fall into one of the Small Business categories: Small Business, Hub Zone Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Woman Owned Small Business, or Small Disadvantaged Business. ALL RESPONSES MUST BE AVAILABLE AT TIME OF RESPONSE - NO DEVELOPMENTAL OR PROJECTED TECHNOLOGY WILL BE ACCEPTED. DITCO is seeking sources for information regarding alert, recall and response capabilities. In light of rapidly developing computer technology, and the continuing growth of multiple methods of communicating with key personnel in times of emergency, the Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) desires to receive information regarding the current state-of-the-art, alert recall and response capabilities. We are interested in gathering information on services and/or software applications that are currently existing and available from commercial sources. This requirement grows out of a continuing need to remain current on the latest services/applications available to facilitate rapid contact with key personnel in times of emergency. We are interested in receiving information from industry concerning the availability of the above stated capabilities as a telephone service or as a software application. The envisioned need includes a confirmation that the desired information has reached the polled party(ies). The need also includes the capability for feedback/input from the contacted party(ies) in the form of summary reports. The need includes an ability to initiate the alert and process responses simultaneously across multiple media such as land line/wireless telephone, facsimile, and Internet / e-mail. Technical services will include systems analyst support and telephone support 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Potential respondents must show that they have complete access, control, and usage rights of proprietary software applicable to this requirement. Responses shall be limited to 10 pages and should include, as a minimum, (1) evidence of past performance; (2) related projects and/or existing systems, etc; and (3) business size as described above. Industry demonstrations may be held with interested sources that submit responses. This synopsis is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bid or proposals. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis. All respondents are reminded of the required Central Contractor Registration (CCR) requirement to be considered eligible for any potential Department of Defense contracts.
