Description
The robotic vehicle must be suitable for all-terrain navigation and be capable of beign equipped with video cameras, infrared imaging, and a variety of real-time environmental monitoring devices. The robot must also be capable of being configured for tele-remote operation. For use in underground coal mines where methane and coal dust explosion hazards are present, the robot must be permissible. Romotec, Inc. will upgrade the existing Andros Robot to comply with all of MSHA'S requirements for electrical permissibility. Negotiations to be conducted with Remotec, Inc. Subsidiary of Northrup Grumman, 114 Union Valley Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830 on a sole-source basis. This announcement is for information purpose only.
