- AK PRA-DENA 10(14), DENALI PARK ROAD (SAVAGE RIVER TURNAROUND AND TATTLER SITE), Denali National Park and Reserve, Denali Borough, Alaska. Initial notice posted to FedBizOpps on July 25, 2002, and printed issue date on July 25, 2002. BY ISSUE OF THIS MODIFICATION WE ANNOUNCE THIS SOLICITATION AS FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. Presolicitation notices are being sent to firms on this agency's mailing list concurrently with the publication of this synopsis. PRELIMINARY PLANS WILL BE AVAILABLE APPROXIMATELY AUGUST 26, 2002. This work consists of .3379 km of subexcavation, grading, drainage, gabion-faced retaining wall, gabion walls, base, and paving. The project consists of construction survey & staking; construction schedules; removal of structures & obstructions; traffic control devices; permanent pavement markings; 480 m silt fence; 2,155 cu m excavation & embankment; 150 m ditch reconditioning; 120 sq m earthwork geotextiles; 130 sq m gabion retaining walls; 193 sq m gabion-faced MSE retaining wall; 690 cu m select granular backfill; 72 ea permanent ground anchors; 150 cu m untreated aggregate courses; 330 cu m minor crushed aggregate; 560 t minor hot asphalt concrete; 49 m culverts; 3 ea inlets; 202 m standard underdrain system; 25 m outlet pipe; 41 cu m paved waterways; 170 m plastic curb; 370 sq m aggregate sidewalk; 100 m rock protection fence; 950 sq m topsoil; 1 ea residential housing; 2 cu m subsealing & stabilization; 37 m pedestrian railings; 1 ea timber stairs; 740 sq m Type V 75 mm thickness polystyrene foam; 840 sq m geomembrane; and other smaller items of work. Project is located approximately 255 km south of Fairbanks, Alaska. Work shall be completed by September 19, 2003. Estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. THE PLANS WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE IN PAPER FORMAT; THEY WILL BE MAILED TO THE HOLDERS OF PRELIMINARY PLANS. The following applies only to Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs): The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. DOT's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance, and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000.
