- Description FEDBIZOP SPECIAL NOTICE LEXIS-NEXIS. The Overseas Private Investment Corporation intends to negotiate with Lexis-Nexis for renewal of Lexis-Nexis database services. Lexis-Nexis offers a premier online legal, news, legislative and business information service. It provides online access to an extensive array of databases and offers a full range of legal, legislative, regulatory, company, financial, public record, news and current affairs information. The Lexis service contains major archives of federal and state case law, continuously updated statutes of all 50 states, state and federal regulations and an extensive collection of public records from major US states and counties. The Lexis service includes access to case law, administrative decisions, statutes, regulations, law reviews, treatises, secondary legal sources, specialty publications, and other reference materials. Specialized databases cover all major fields of federal and state practice, including arbitration, environmental, energy, international, banking, tax, securities, etc. The Lexis service is now the sole provider of the Shepard's citator databases. The Nexis service provides a global news and business information service. Sources include international, national and regional newspapers, news wires, magazines, trade journals and business publications. The publications cover a variety of materials from the fields of business, finance, politics, technology, and general news including national network and regional television broadcast transcripts. Lexis-Nexis includes company and financial information on public and private corporations throughout the world. Lexis-Nexis provides transaction-critical documents and document solution representative services. Lexis-Nexis provides consolidated access to services under a volume-pricing structure, unlimited downloading and printing, unlimited access to public documents such as financial records, recorded documents, jury verdicts, popular press sources (including major newspapers and magazines), international source materials, Shepard's service, unlimted access to databases of all case law and statutes of US State and Federal jurisdiction. Lexis-Nexis also provides many customer service benefits, including related training on focused customer requirements. Service includes passwords, full training, search advice, and technical support. An annual subscription with three one-year options is anticipated. Interested organizations on GSA Schedule may submit their capabilities and qualifications to provide this service, which shall be considered by the agency. Responses must be received, in writing, within fifteen (15) calendar days of publication of this notice. Interested parties must submit sufficient descriptive literature with their response to prove their capability to satisfy the requirements. Requests must be in writing.
