- Description
- The Naval Inventory Control Point - Mechancisburg, PA, is seeking an automated solution to prevent desktop users from placing, either deliberately or inadvertently, classified material on non-classified networks, servers, and local drives of users' workstations. The tool should use a search criteria of "dirty word" lists of alarm words, along with intelligent searches of topic areas. The tool should also be capable of building a search criteria based on document formatting, such as finding documents with paragraph portion marking or caveat words set off with line spaces. The tool should be able to operate in the background of normal network activity with no, or minimal, performance loss. The actual functionality of the tool could be different but, it should to be able to mark files that trip an alarm and possibly subject those files to more filtering. It must be able to limit its scope by "date file modified" or CRC checks so that it does not repeatedly search the same files. The idea being the first use of the tool would cover a large scope, with successive iterations occurring more rapidly due to a smaller base. Interested parties should provide, as a minimum, the following information: 1. Product Name, Version, Part Number 2. Identify if product is a commercial off the shelf item 3. Identify if product is currently offered on a GSA/FSS or other government acquisition vehicle. If so, identify the appropriate contract number and expiration date. 4. Estimated Unit Price 5. Brief description of product capabilities and/or product brochures 6. Endorsements or testing information by independent security organizations. 7. Application platforms available (i.e. Windows, Linux, Unix) 8. Operating System requirements 9. Customization tool requirements. 10. Maintenance terms and conditions 11. Applicable End User License agreement 12. Vendor POC, phone and email address Provide all responses to this RFI by 4:00 p.m. EST, 23 August 2002.
