- Description
- NASA GSFC/WFF plans to issue a Request for Offers for the Addition to the Visitor's Information Center, at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, Virginia 23337. The scope of work for this project shall include, but is not limited to: Construction of a 620 sq. meter, two level addition to the existing Visitor's Information Center, including all related civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical work. The Basic Requirement shall be the total price for work as shown on the specifications and drawings, except that work that is identified as Option Items. The resulting contract will include two Option items, which may or may not be ordered. The work shall be complete. It includes furnishing, as applicable, or may be required, all contractor's plant, equipment, safety devices, labor, tools, materials, supplies, and services, and performing all operations necessary for or incidental to a complete project in conformity with the drawings and as set forth in the various sections of the specifications. This procurement is being conducted under NASA MidRange Procurement Procedures. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The Basic Requirement shall be completed within 360 calendar days after notice to proceed. The total requirement including Option Items shall be completed within 360 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for the procurement is 233320. The corresponding size standard is $28,500,000.00. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about August 26, 2002, with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about September 26, 2002. The firm date for receipt of offers will be stated in the RFO. Bid packages containing specifications and drawings will be available at a nonrefundable cost of $75.00. Requests are to be forwarded to: NASA/GSFC, Ray A. Stevens, Code 218, Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, VA 23337. Payment must be made in the form of a certified check, company check, or money order, made payable to "NASA", which must accompany the request. No personal checks or cash will be accepted. All qualified responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. This synopsis is also an intent to synopsize the pre-solicitation notice. No telephone requests accepted. Collect calls not accepted. An ombudsman has been appointed See Note "B" as explained under NASA-SPECIFIC NUMBERED NOTES. The solicitation for this procurement will be available over the Internet. (Specifications and drawings are available in paper format only. See above ordering instructions.) These documents will be in Microsoft Word or RTF format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
