Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Marketing Service (AMS), Manassas, VA, intends to issue a sole source purchase order with bioMerieux, Inc for the purchase of (1) VITEK 32 Automated Identification System. The VITEK Automated Identification System has been designed for rapid confirmation of bacteria in food products. The proposed contract action is for equipment for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Simiplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition procedures per FAR 12.
