- Description
- The VA Medical Center Spokane intends to issue a sole source Request For Quote to Steris Corporation, for a Steris System 1 Sterile Processing System. NAICS: 339113. The Government believes that Steris Corporation is the only provider that will satisfy the agency requirements. This is a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, 38 U.S.C. 8153 and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes however; any firm that believes it can meet the following requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer, VAMC Spokane, WA. 4815 N Assembly St, Spokane, WA., within seven (7) days from the date of publication of this synopsis: GOVERMENTS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 1. Tabletop unit, stainless steel frame with a see-through viewing window. 2. Contractor to provide a Workstation cart designed to hold systems accessories and supplies. 3. The system shall be a sterilization unit. 4. The system must be capable of completely eliminating all microbial visibility, including inactivation of bacterial spores. 5. The system must provide for a rapid, low temperature sterilization process of immersible articles. 6. The system must use a liquid chemical sterilant and delivery system. 7. The system shall provide an automated control of the sterilization process. 8. The system shall provide a sterile water rinse following sterilization. 9. Provide process and load documentation. 10. The system must have the flexibility to accommodate a broad spectrum of instruments. 11. The system must provide for a processing temperature of 122 degrees F ? 131 degrees F. 12. The system must provide for a sterilization time of 12 minutes. 13. The system must provide a fluid circulation during sterilization and rinse cycles. 14. Provide a sterilization of incoming tap water by a verifiable sterile filtration membrane. 15. Provide a 4 sterile water rinses. 16. Provide instruments trays and containers that designed to fix instruments and accessories in a standardized position, appropriate for thorough circulation of sterilant and sterile water rinse. 17. The system shall be registered with the EPA and have received FDA Market Clearance. 18. System must meet the UL Standard UL-3101 and Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC 19. System must provide Quick Connect Kits to include adapters required to properly connect and flow devices in the system to ensure sterilant contacts all device sites. 20. System to provide a Temperature Booster so water temperature can be maintained at 110 ? 118 F. 21. Contractor to provide installation and Biomedical Training program as well as 2 users manuals. 22. Contractor shall provide FOB destination pricing. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to the above listed address or via fax to (509) 434-7101. Responses received will be evaluated however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
