Description
NA CONTACT INFO: To order a CD, interested firms may either: (1) fax requests to Jennifer Christensen at 509/527-7802; (2) email requests to jennifer.r.christensen@usace.army.mil; or (3) register via the Walla Walla District web page at (http://www.nww.usa ce.army.mil/ebs/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp). To guarantee addition to the bidders list, web page registration should be followed up with either a fax or an email. All requests for a CD must contain the following information: company name, address, bus iness size, point of contact with email address, phone number, and fax number. DESCRIPTION: SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING DRAWINGS, WILL BE AVAILABLE ON CD ONLY. The Walla Walla District, Corps of Engineers, intends to award a firm-fixed price con struction contract for removal of existing and installation of new electrical equipment for the fish ladder exit weirs on both the Oregon and Washington side at McNary Dam. The upgrade will include but not be limited to the removal of existing control com ponents, conduit, wire, control stations, motor control centers, limit switches and the installation of new water depth sensing equipment, gate position encoders, control stations, programmable logic controllers, motor control centers, limit switches, cond uit, and wire on both the Oregon and Washington sides of the dam. A fiber optic data highway will be installed between the Oregon fish ladder exit weir control center and the powerhouse and between the Washington fish ladder exist weir control center and the powerhouse. The Oregon and Washington fish ladders are about ? mile apart. Drilling of concrete, 3? maximum size holes, will be required to install conduit. Miscellaneous metalwork fabrication and installation is required to modify existing handrail s and bar gratings, and other miscellaneous metalwork items. The estimated completion date for this work is 1 April 2004. ADMIN INFO: The estimated cost range for this job is between $250,000 and $500,000. The Standard Industrial Classif ication (SIC) code is 1623 and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 234920. The small business size standard is average annual receipts for the previous three fiscal years must not exceed $28,500,000. This procurement is open to both large and small business concerns.
