NAICS Code: 541380 THE U.S. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY INTENDS TO PROCURE THE FOLLOWING SYSTEM FOR THE EPA LABORATORY LOCATED AT 536 S. CLARK, CHICAGO, IL. MANUFACTURE OF ITEMS: QUESTRON TECHNOLOGIES ITEMS LISTED BELOW: *QLAB AUTOPREP SAMPLEPREP WORKSTATION 6000.AP *ROBOTIC WORKSTATION P/N. 6000.28, *CONTROLLER SOFTWARE P/N 6000.240 AUTOMATIC REAGENT DISPENSING MODULE P/N 6000.030 *INTEGRATED HEATING MODULE NO P/N OR EQUAL, EQUAL WHICH MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING SPECS: 1.1 PROVIDE AN AUTOMATED SAMPLE PREPARATION SYSTEM CAPABLE OF DISPENSING MEASURED REGENT VOLUMES TO DIGEST WATER, WASTE, SOLIDS, AND SEDIMENT SAMPLES FOR MERCURY ANALYSIS IN ENVIRONMENTAL SAMPLES. 1.2 THE SYSTEM SHALL BE CAPABLE OF PREPARING A MINIMUM OF 100 SAMPLES AT ONCE. MINMUM FINAL DIGEST VOLUME REQUIRED TO ANALZYE FOR MERCURY ON AN EXISTING ANALYZER INSTRUMENT IS 35 TO 45 ML. 1.3 WHERE THE SYSTEM COMES IN CONTACT WITH REAGENTS OR FUMES, COMONET USED SHALL BE CHEMICAL AND VENTED AS WELL. 1.4 THE INSTRUMENT SHALL BE CAPABLE OF UNATTENDED SAMPLE PREPARATION ONCE MEASURED ALIQUOTS ARE LOADED. 1.5 THE SYSTEM SHALL PROVIDE REPRODUCIBLE AUTOMATED PROGRAMABLE REAGENT DELIVERY WITH ACCURACY EXCEEDING 0.1ML 1.6 REAGENT DELIVERY SHALL ACCOMODATE REAGENTS REQUIRED FOR PREPARATION OF WATER SAMPLES (EPA METHOD 245.1, SW 846 METHOD 7470A) AND SOIL SAMPLES (EPA METHOD 245.5SW 846 METHOD 7471A). 1.7 SAMPLES SHALL BE DIGESTED BY HEATING IN AN INTEGRATED WATER BATH. DIGESTION TEMPERATURE AND DURATIONS ARE SPECIFIED IN TEST METHODS REFERENCED IN SECTION 1.4 1.8 THE SYSTEM SHALL MONITOR BATH TEMPERATURE TO MAINTAIN STABLE TEMPERATUREAND WATER LEVEL.
