- Description
- The purpose of this notice is twofold. First, reference is made to CBD Notice posted 01 August 2002 under above subject. Minor clarifications to this notice are indicated in capital letters in the following text: …The requirement consists of System Development and Demonstration (SDD) and the first 1-3 years of production for the cartridge, 25mm, Target Practice DISCARDING SABOT with Tracer (TPDS-T), M910E1. This new training round will be fired from the 25mm M242 Autogun on the M2/ M3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle. The M910E1 will be required to match the trajectory of the M919 to WITHIN 1 MIL OUT TO A RANGE OF 2500 METERS CONDITIONED AT AMBIENT. The M910E1 will be required to match the trajectory of the M791 to WITHIN 1 MIL OUT TO A RANGE OF 2000 METERS CONDITIONED AT AMBIENT. The M910E1 will have a maximum range requirement of 8000 meters. One contract will be awarded for the SDD phase. Contract award is anticipated in early FY03. At the end of the SDD phase the contractor will deliver a qualification sample necessary to demonstrate the safety and performance characteristics of the M910E1. Elapsed time from SDD contract award to COMPLETION OF CONTRACT WILL BE 18 MONTHS… Second, in the following hyperlink to Procnet, http://pc3.pica.army.mil/, potential offerors can access the draft Statements of Objectives (SOO). The Government anticipates posting the draft UCF Sections L and M in the near future as they become available. Potential offerors are encouraged to review the documents and submit questions and comments as soon as possible via email to Geoffrey Cramer, Contract Specialist, at gcramer@pica.army.mil. Once all the documents of the draft RFP have been posted, the Government will allow a reasonable time period with a cutoff date as determined by the Government for questions and comments from potential offerors before issuing the formal RFP. It should be noted that the response date of this notice reflects the time for the draft RFP as well as for the formal RFP. Please be advised that this is not a solicitation and does not obligate the Government to issue a solicitation.
