- Description
- Consultant - Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) International Program Specialist (Logistics Support) for Africa and the Middle East. The purpose of this contract is to provide logistics support for the U.S. Department of Commerce Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) technical assistance programs in Africa and the Middle East. The CLDP provides training and consultative services to lawmakers, regulators, judges, lawyers, and educators seeking assistance in the evaluation, revision and implementation of evolving legal systems. CLDP assistance programs typically focus on laws, regulations, and administrative practices affecting domestic and foreign investment and trade. The successful candidate will have (1) foreign language skills, (2) international travel experience, (3) knowledge of Africa and the Middle East, (4) a Bachelor?s degree in economics, international relations or a related field. Preferably the successful candidate will have (5) experience in planning events, such as conferences and trips, and (6) experience working with international organizations. Place of work is U.S. Department of Commerce, 1401 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. 20230. Some international travel may be required. Period of performance for the basic contract award is twelve (12) months, with the possibility of three twelve (12) month extensions.
