- ISSUE DATE: 09/05/02. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary for new heating oil tanks at USCG Station Montauk, Montauk, NY (Suffolk County). Work includes, but is not limited to, the removal of existing 280 gallon and 550 gallon heating oil tanks and the installation of new upgraded 500 and 1,000 gallon tanks with controls and fuel piping connections. Tanks and controls shall be listed by Suffolk County as approved storage facilities for this application. New installation of tanks and controls shall comply with Suffolk County Department of Health Services ?Aboveground Outdoor Tank and Associated Piping Design Standards?. Pumping and disposal of residual oil from existing tanks shall be required. Incidental related work. Estimated cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000 dollars. NAICS code is 235110. Solicitation packages to be available on or about 09/05/01. The due date for receipt of quotations is on or about 09/20/02. This project is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is unrestricted. THE FOLLOWING NOTICE IS PROVIDED AS INFORMATION FOR MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Dept of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000.
