Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Simplified acquisition procedures apply. This BOS announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued. This solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. NAICS Code 322211 applies and the small business size is 500 employees. The Contractor shall provide the AAC with an ?on-demand? delivery of specified assembled corrugated boxes in varying quantities. The contractor shall furnish all boxes, except for the two types identified in Attachment 1, which the AAC will supply. The AAC furnished boxes shall be picked-up, assembled, stored, and delivered, as required. Upon request, the contractor shall provide design and cost data for new boxes and effect discontinuation or changing of existing boxes as the AAC needs change. a) The contractor shall, within five working days after award of contract, pick-up the initial inventory of AAC furnished boxes. These boxes will be knocked-down-flat (KDF) on pallets and will be relocated to the contractor?s facility until assembly and delivery is requested. At the time of award of contract, the location, size and quantity of boxes can be furnished by the Contracting Officer?s Technical Representative (COTR), Constance Dailey, 512/326-6234. b) Thereafter, the contractor shall pick-up AAC supplied boxes within five working days after notification. These boxes will be located at 1615 Woodward Street, Austin, TX 78741. Approximately five pick-ups will be required per year. At the time of request, the size and quantity of boxes shall be furnished the contractor. c) The contractor shall maintain capability to deliver boxes within two working days after receipt of request from the AAC for routine deliveries, and within six hours after receipt of emergency requests (?the COTR or his/her designee determines emergencies?) for delivery. If unable to provide boxes within the above timeframe specified, AAC is to be notified immediately. d) Requests for delivery may be oral or written. e) The contractor shall, within three workdays after award of contract, provide the AAC COTR at 512-326-6309 or 512-326-6028 (fax), the names and telephone numbers of contractor personnel to be contacted when requesting delivery and/ or pick-up of boxes.
