Description

Contractor to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to purchase, design and install a two (2) ton capacity, Free Standing Crane System in a facility located on Nellis AFB in Nevada. The crane shall have the following minimum requirements: electrically driven; with a manual push/pull bridge beam and 50 foot runway length; hook height should be approximately 11 feet 11 inches; overall bridge length should be 32 feet; trolley clevis height should be 13 feet 9 inches; support centers should be 18 feet by 20 feet by 10 feet; girder/rail runway structure should be independent of the building?s structure and columns and anchor bolted directly to the floor; and the girder columns should be aligned with or near the building column lines so they can be braced for added stability. The design should be semi-portable and offer the user the option of disassembly. Unit shall be load tested and certified after installation is complete and Government will provide electrical hook-ups. Awardee will be required to provide measurements, drawings and installation procedures for approval. Solicitation will be available on or about 23 August 2002 through the Electronic Posting System (http://www.eps.gov) . The proposed contract listed here is restricted to small business firms. The applicable NAICS for this acquisition is 333923 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. NOTE: Prospective offeror must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Registering may take up to 3 weeks to process. Contractors may access the CCR at http://www.ccr.gov/ . Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
