- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate a sole source delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-02-G-3041 with McDonnell Douglas Corporation, St. Louis, MO for the product improvement of the Advanced Signal Data Computer (ASDC) for the T-45 TS aircraft. McDonnell Douglas Corporation is the sole developer and manufacturer of the T45 TS aircraft. The ASDC effort consists of improvements over the Legacy ADR/SDC. These improvements include the installation of a new processor and memory cards, and incorporation of necessary software changes. These improvements primarily allow for the collection and retention of a substantially increased amount of flight data. The modifications also address obsolescence issues with the current ADR and SDC. The ASDC will have the ability to determine engine life usage via Thermal Transient Algorithms (TTA)?s and to continuously record the associated engine operation and flight data. Recorded data will be selectively downloadable. The ASDV will be a Form, Fit, and Functional replacement for the existing Airborne Data Recorder (ADR) (vpn 1400000-0010) in the T-45A and the SDC (vpn 1400000-0100) in the T45C. The ASDC will have a single software load capable of determining which model aircraft it is in. No retrofit required. Numbered Notes 22 and 26 apply.
