Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being required and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Regional Contracting Office, NE currently has a requirement to replace Video Teleconferencing System (VTC) in Bldg. 3300. Contractor shall integrate and install the audiovisual equipment and communications equipment necessary to provide the new system. The contractor shall also integrate the following government furnished equipment into the VTC system: (a) Christie Vivid Lite DLP video/data projector. (b) Chief Projector mount RPA-4800 (c) Canon RE-650 MKIIN Document Camera (d) Computer. The contractor shall disassemble the current VTC system, including the cabinet, and turn the components over to the government. The Contractor shall enclose the area where the VTC cabinet was removed. Finish work shall be consistent with the current room d?cor. The Contractor shall mount the Smart Board (Electronic White Board) on the diagonal wall in the VTC room. The Contractor shall mount two 50 inch plasma screens side by side on the wall where the new finish work is required. The Contractor shall mount the video cameras on the wall near plasma screens so that optimum coverage of the VTC participants is attainable. The Contractor shall mount the audio speakers on the front wall of the VTC room so that the VTC participants are in optimum hearing range. The Contractor shall mount the video/data projector in the ceiling so that it projects and fills the electronic white board with an image. The Contractor shall mount the following equipment in a v ertical rack: (a) VHS VCR (b) DVD Player (c) Audio Mixer (d) Audio Amplifier (e) Tandberg CODEC (f) Distribution Matrix (g) Distribution Switcher (h) AMX Remote Control System. The Contractor shall install microphones so there is professional sound (voice) quality from VTC participants. The Contractor shall neatly install cabling so that it is unobtrusive and in a manner that it will not be a safety hazard. Also, cabling shall be marked for ease of tracing operational problems. The Contractor shall program the AMX remote control system and provide the programming code to the government. The Contractor shall complete the installation in four days. The Contractor shall provide eight (8)hours of training to four (4) government personnel. The Contractor shall provide two copies of schematics, maintenance manuals, and operational manuals to the government. The Contractor sh all provide a one-year warranty including all equipment, parts, and labor except for the government furnished equipment. A site visit is scheduled for 28 August 2002 @ 10:00 in building 3300, second floor. Site Visit Far 52.237-1 (Apr 1984) Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance to the extent that the information is reasonable attainable. The following clauses apply to this acquisition; FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors, FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial items, FAR 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial items, FAR 52.222-22 Previous Contracts and Compliance Reports , FAR 52.222-25 Affirmative Action Compliance. The offeror must submit a completed copy of FAR.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications. Clauses made be found at FAR website www.acq.osd.mil/dp/dars/dfars.html. Failure to submit all information will make the offeror non-responsive. All vendors must be registered in Central Contractors Register (CCR), website www.ccr.gov.
