- INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES Subject: Self Service Platform This requirement is for three types of customer friendly kiosks (Basic Services Kiosk, Extended Services Kiosk, and Full Service Kiosk)capable of being operated by the average customer. The U. S. Postal Service is offering customers easy access to a wide range of selected postal products and services, financial services, government information and other revenue generating offerings while maximizing convenience and reducing work hours. A touch screen based customer access terminal can provide the basis for the desired result. This self service platform will enable customers to obtain products, services and information whenever needed 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Two maintenance scenarios are possible: 1) The supplier would provide a turn key deployment including all service and maintenance for deployed equipment 2) USPS personnel would perform first line service and maintenance including replenishment of consumables, clearing of jams and sway-out of accessible components. The resultant contract will be a fee-for-service arrangement. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (22-MAR-2002).
