Description
Pre-Solicitation Notice: Provide materials and services necessary for the Station Upgrade, Phase II at the U. S. Coast Guard Station, Port Huron, Michigan. The work includes construction of a new station building, storage building, access road and parking lot and associated site improvements including landscaping, utility services, fencing, site lighting, etc. and incidental related work. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with Specification No. 09-X2193 and Drawing No. 09-X2193 (Sheets 1 ? 89). All work shall be completed within 450 calendar days after Award. THE SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLY BY INTERNET AT THE FOLLOWING ADDRESS: http://www.uscg.mil/mlclant/fdcclant/contracts.html Any prospective bidder interested in bidding on this solicitation must REGISTER at this web site and download plans and specifications in order to be placed on the plan holder list. If not registered, the United States Government is not responsible for providing you with notifications of any changes to this solicitation. The solicitation will be available on the web site on or about May 20, 2002. The approximate date for bid opening for Solicitation No. DTCG47-02-B-3EFK14 is June 20, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in Norfolk, VA. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation is unrestricted IAW the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 233320 and the small business size standard is $28.5 Million. Attention: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT's Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at the prime rate.
