Description

US Customs Service has a requirement for a new portable energy disperive tabletop x-ray spectrometer for a laboratory in San Francisco, CA. The NAIC code is 421490. The small business standard is 100 employees. This acquistion will be acquired using the Simplified acquistion procedure according to FAR.13.0. As a minimum, the machine will be be used for preliminary analysis of metal, stone, powders, and stones at multiple locations. The machine must be easily transported within a mini-van or plane. The machine must be easy to operate and maintain. All parts, laptops, carrying cases/shipping containers, etc. that allows for the operation of the equipment to be fully functional as a moible unit is to be include in proposal. On site training/installation to be provided. Machine repair and maintenance service by a qualified service enger to be available on a nationwide basis within five days or less of repair request. Award will be determined on a best value basis which will include the ease of portability, the ease of operation to perform required analyses and duties within the Customs environment; serviceability; past performance and determination of a reasonable price for capabilities offered. Vendor may provide up to three references for past customers for like procurements who have utlizied a similiar portable spectrometer. The vendor may provide a demonstration of their product at the delivery site in San Francisco, CA, if desired (30 minute limit).
