Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center has a requirement to purchase Telescopic Battens and Gratings. The supplies to be acquired are for 1017 various sized Telescopic Battens and Overhead Gratings, two types- 6?, various lengths totaling 3080LF, Snap-Tight-3200SF. Extruded Aluminum is in accordance with technical specification 6063-T6, military specification- MIL-G-18015 (active) and Washington Aluminum and SHIPALT drawing 702-7511-323. The Government intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract with Washington Aluminum Company 1330 Knecht Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21229-5511. Washington Aluminum Company is the only responsible source for this requirement based on Mil-G-18015 and SHIPALT standards. The Government anticipatees award of a firm-fixed price contract. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government has been made not to compete this proposed contract. Responses will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procruement. The NAICS code for this procurement is 3332312 and the applicable size standard is 500 employees.
