- Description
- The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Southern Plains Area has a need for the following items: 1. 32-Aquaculture Tanks and 4" black poly bulkhead fittings (FIPT X FIPT). Tanks are 10 ft. diameter by 4 ft. side wall with no more than 5 degrees sloping bottom. Tank must be supported by legs providing a minimum of 12" of center height from the tank bottom. Tank shall have a 10" size sump cast in bottom to fit a 4" PVC bulkhead fitting. Tank to include a Cornell-style dual drain with elevated side wall drain. Tank shall include a side wall skimmer with strainer basket and be capable of holding a fine mesh filter bag. Tank shall have a smooth black gel coat interior with a grey pigmented exterior. Main tank shall not require field assembly (tank shall not be composed of side panels). Price shall include shipment F.O.B. to Ft. Pierce, FL. 2. 8-Bead Filters for Recirculating Aquaculture Systems. Bead Filter: Model PBF-25, Twenty-five cubic foot propeller-washed bead filter by Aquaculture Systems Technologies, LLC . Construction of heavy-duty food grade fiberglass, 25 cubic feet of bead media, External plumbing assembly to include: 2" inlet valve (FIPT), 1-1/4" sludge valve (FIPT), 0-30 psi pressure gauge and 1" brass pressure relief valve, 3" inlet/sludge outlet (FIPT), 3" effluent outlet (FIPT), and a 1" emergency drain with ball valve (FIPT).. 2 hp, 60 Hz, single phase mixing motor with fiberglass motor mount, impeller shaft and propellers. Bead Filter Accessories: Filter bypass controller in NEMA enclosure which allows automatic operation of bead filter with bypass during backwashing. Controller to offer preset backwash frequencies, control duration of propeller mixing, and control of the sludge drain time. Controller assemblage to include all actuators for sludge drainage control and filter bypass during backwash, any necessary magnetic motor starters, and necessary NEMA enclosures. Quantity: 8 Bid price to include crating charge and freight charge F.O.B. Ft. Pierce, FL. 3. Rotary Drum Filter: Rotary drum and filter frame: Stainless steel (304 acceptable, 316 preferred). Filter tank enclosure: Stainless steel (HDPE acceptable) including cover. Filter tank connections: 6" inlet/outlets; 2-4"backwash. Filter panels: polyester fabric molded in polyethylene frame; 60-micron screen opening. Drive motor: at least 1/4 hp; ability to handle saltwater environment. Maximum drum submergence: 60%. Maximum flow capacity: at least 300 pgm. Control panel power requirement: single or three phase, 115V or 230V acceptable. Quantity: 8. Drum Filter Backwash Pump and Accessories: Backwash pump: multi-stage booster pump. Backwash nozzles: spray bar with quick release nozzles. Level control switch with manual and automatic control settings; wall or floor mount frame acceptable; fully assembled including necessary pressure gauges, solenoid and throttling valves.
