Description
NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial service prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented, with additional information included in this notice. This announcement services as the Government's notice of intent to solicit, negotiate and award a contract on a sole-source basis to a small business concern, Drytronic, Inc., 709 Gillette Street, LA Crosse, WI, under FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis. A det ermination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competiti ve procurement. Purchase description for the proposed contract is to furnish all labor, material and supervision to install a complete operating electro-osmotic pulse (EOP) water seepage protection system in accordance with NFPA 70, the applicable federal, state and local regulations for Quarters 186AB, 187AB, 191AB, 192AB, 193AB, 194AB, 195AB, 196AB, 25AB, 26AB, 30QB and 31AB at Fort Monroe, VA. The project shall include pre-installation inspection of the site, development of site-specific plans and specif ications, installation of the EOP, and adjustment and testing of the protection system. Performance at Fort Monroe, VA, is projected to begin on October 1, 2002 and end on June 30, 2003. The provisions of FAR 52.212-1 entitled Instructions to Offerors-Comm ercial; FAR 52.212-2 entitled Evaluation-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-3 entitled Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4 entitled Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; and FAR 52.212-5 entitled Contract Terms a nd Conditions Required To Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items applies. Warranty is for a period of two years.
