- Description
- The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) intends to award on a sole source basis to the University of Maryland (UM) to 1) conduct technical research in support of fire investigations and research and 2) perform fire modeling, fire testing and other experiments to support investigations. UM will be used as a sole source due to the Memorandum of Agreement between ATF AND UM's Department of Fire Protection Engineering outlining specific partnerships to support ATF's mission to reduce violent crime. Further, UM offers the only accredited program in Fire Protection Engineering in the country. The period of performance will be September 1, 2002 - August 31, 2002.
