Description
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport has a requirement for research, development and engineering services to support Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUV) related technologies and systems. This effort includes: analysis, development, test and evaluation of UUV related technologies and systems. These efforts will be conducted in simulation, laboratory and ocean environments as appropriate. Specific areas of effort include: Underwater Acoustic Communication, Ocean Sampling and UUV Testing Support. This is a follow-on to contract N66604-00-D-0292 which was competitively awarded to Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), Woods Hole, MA.02543. This solicitation will be Unrestricted. It is intended to award a single Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract (IDIC) with Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) provisions. Evaluation will be based on Greatest Value including Technical Capability and Cost. Technical Capability subfactors include: Personnel, Past Performance, Technical Approach and Facilities. The principle place of performance is the contractor's site. The estimated Level of Effort is 4,633 per year for a total of 23,168 hours over a five (5) year period. The categories of labor are: Engineer, Acoustical III (key), Engineer IV, Engineer, Computer I, Engineer, Computer II, Engineer III, Technician (Electronic/Electrical) VI, Technician (Mechanical) V, Illustrator I and Word Processor III. Facility and Safeguarding Clearance to SECRET level is required. Estimated RFP release date: 29 JUN 02. NAICS Code: 541330/$23M.
