Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Mid-Atlantic Regional Contracting Office, Lexington, Kentucky intends to award a non-personal services contract to provide Diagnostic Services to the inmate population at the Federal Medical Center and Federal Prison Camp, Lexington, Kentucky. Duties include: provide and perform MRIs, CT scans, Mammograms, Ultrasounds, Thallium Stress Test services, other mobile diagnostic tests; interpretation of exams, quality assurance and quality control input to clinical staff. Due to the nature of this contract, all individuals working within the confines of the institution will be required to submit to security clearances. This will be a competitive procurement with award being made to the offeror determined to be in the best interest of the Government with price and other factors considered. It is anticipated that this solicitation will result in a firm fixed price requirements type contract. The diagnostic services will normally be scheduled Monday through Friday with an estimated one to four sessions per month, with each session being defined as eight hours in length. The base year will run for twelve months from the date of award with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods for renewal. Anticipated date of award is May 31, 2002. Total exams for a twelve-month period is estimated to be 522. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
