- Description
- The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a non-competitive, sole source contract to Battelle to research information on previous emergency/contamination incidences involving Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) regulated products. The purpose of this study is to glean information on the types of emergencies confronting the Center, methods that have been used to handle/respond to them in the past, and any other potential issues pertaining to CVM's reporting or response to emergencies. With this information, the contractor shall assist CVM in developing standard operating procedures and an emergency response plan for each type of emergency involving animal food and drugs. Finally, the contractor shall assist the CVM by researching, analyzing, and developing best practices and strategies that can be used to improve the process and results for CVM emergencies and incidents. Other parties interested in and capable of performing this work shall submit their capability statement on or before August 30, 2002.
