Description

ISSUE DATE: 4 September 2002. Contractor shall provide all labor, material, supervision, transportation, and disposal for removal of the 18 ft 4 inches long stainless steel serving line counter and the 8 foot 9 inches long beverage counter, including all fixed equipment in conjunction with serving and beverage counters and other equipment shown on drawings; furnishing and installing new stainless steel serving and beverage counters and installing existing relocated food service equipment indicated in plans and specifications; provide necessary electrical for new and relocated existing equipment and incidental related work. On site work is limited to two (2) weeks and all equipment must be on site prior to shutting down galley. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 9/4/02. The date for receipt of quotes is on or about 9/26/02 at 4:00 pm local time. Estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS code is 233320. THE FOLLOWING NOTICE IS PROVIDED AS INFORMATION FOR MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Dept of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000.
