- Description
- This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition. The requirement is a VHF/UHF ground-to-air radio system. The system must have fully programmable VHF/UHF capabilities for AM/FM bands, pre-set channels, channel scan, base station, mobile capability and secure voice capability. This commodity will be delivered to Patrick AFB, FL. The government intends to make a single award to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. This proposed procurement will be conducted using full and open competition. Solicitation No. F08650-02-T-0246 will be issued as a Request for Quotation. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 3663, business size of 750 employees and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 334220. IMPORTANT: The Department of Defense (DOD) has determined the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be the Single DOD registration for contractors who conduct business or who are interested in conducting business with the Department. You may register in CCR on-line at http://ccr.edi.disa.mil. It is mandatory to obtain a DUNS number prior to registering in CCR by calling Dun & Bradstreet (1-800-333-0505). All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 27 Aug 02 at http://www2.eps.gov/spg/.
